03 / WELCOME TO WELLTANA
A new chapter. A place to begin.
Welltana is a detox and residential facility where you are the heart of our home.
Our philosophy
Every new beginning starts with a wish, a quiet hope that life can be different. Recovery is the moment you toss the coin, make the wish, and finally choose to believe that the life you’re wishing for is worth reaching for.
Detox and residential treatment are the levels of care offered at Welltana.
Welltana serves adults 18+ seeking detox and residential treatment for alcohol, opioids, fentanyl, benzodiazepines, prescription drugs, methamphetamine, cocaine, and other substance use concerns. We also support appropriate co-occurring mental health needs, with admission determined through an individual assessment.
Detox is the process of managing withdrawal as the body adjusts to stopping alcohol or other drugs. It focuses on assessment, stabilization, and preparing for ongoing treatment.
02
Residential treatment
Residential treatment is a live-in program where clients receive structured care and support while focusing on recovery. Therapy, groups, and daily routines provide opportunities to build coping skills and prepare for life beyond treatment.
Our program brings therapy, medical services, and practical support together.
01
Therapy & connection
Healing happens through connection, and growth happens through practice. With weekly individual therapy and daily groups, we help clients build the tools, confidence, and real-life skills they need to step back into the world stronger and ready for what comes next.

Support beyond sessions
Here, you’re family. Through real-world outings and shared experiences, we take recovery beyond our walls, building confidence, connection, and a life worth coming back to.
At Welltana, every new beginning starts with a wish, the hope that life can be different. We bring that wish to life through personalized care, genuine connection, therapy, daily groups, and real-world experiences, treating everyone who walks through our doors like family. Recovery is where you toss the coin, choose yourself, and start building a life worth living for.
06 / WHAT DETOX IS LIKE
Know what to expect.
Our detox and residential program operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Medication management and doctor visits are among the services we provide.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you’re welcomed like family and cared for like one of our own. With personalized assessment, medical monitoring, comfort, rest, and a team by your side, you’ll never have to navigate detox alone. And when you’re ready for what comes next, we’ll be right there helping you take that next step.
Daily program
Each day includes 2–3 engaging groups where clients build real-life coping skills, strengthen communication, understand their triggers, practice relapse-prevention strategies, and gain the confidence to navigate life beyond treatment.
Detox is a time to rest, recover, and let us take care of you. With medical monitoring, plenty of time to rest, and compassionate support along the way, you can focus on feeling better by joining groups, therapy, and activities as you feel ready.

10 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions are welcome.
What is medical detox?+
Medical detox is a supervised process that helps the body safely adjust after stopping alcohol or drugs. At Welltana, clients receive monitoring, support, rest, and individualized care throughout the detox process.
How do I know if I need detox?+
Detox may be appropriate when stopping alcohol or drugs could cause withdrawal symptoms or when it has become difficult to stop using without support. An assessment can help determine whether detox is the appropriate level of care for your individual needs.
How long does detox take?+
There is no single timeline for detox. The length of stay depends on factors such as the substance used, frequency and duration of use, withdrawal symptoms, overall health, and individual progress.
What happens when I arrive at Welltana for detox?+
You'll begin with an assessment so the team can better understand your needs and create an appropriate plan for your care. From there, the focus is on helping you rest, feel supported, and move through detox with monitoring and care along the way.
What substances does Welltana provide detox treatment for?+
Welltana provides treatment for adults experiencing problems related to alcohol, opioids and fentanyl, benzodiazepines, prescription drugs, methamphetamine, cocaine, and other substances, subject to an individual assessment to determine the appropriate level of care.
Does insurance cover drug and alcohol detox?+
Many health insurance plans include benefits for substance use disorder treatment, but coverage varies by plan. Welltana's admissions team can verify your benefits and explain your available options before admission.
What insurance does Welltana accept?+
Welltana works with many major insurance providers, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna Healthcare, UnitedHealthcare, and UMR. Coverage depends on the individual plan, so benefits should be verified before admission.
Can I verify my insurance before committing to treatment?+
Yes. You can contact Welltana's admissions team to have your insurance benefits checked and learn about your options before deciding on treatment.
What should I bring with me to detox?+
Generally, clients should bring comfortable clothing, identification, approved medications in their original containers, and permitted personal essentials. Welltana's admissions team will provide a complete packing list before arrival so you know exactly what to bring.
Can my family call Welltana for me?+
Yes. A parent, spouse, partner, or other loved one can contact Welltana to ask questions and learn more about the admissions process. Our team can explain possible next steps while respecting applicable privacy requirements.
What is a typical day like during detox?+
Detox is designed to give your body time to recover. Days may include medical monitoring, rest, meals, support from staff, and, as you begin feeling better, opportunities to participate in groups, therapy, and other activities as appropriate.
Will I have therapy while I'm at Welltana?+
Welltana's program includes weekly individual therapy and daily programming, including approximately two to three groups per day. Groups are designed to help clients develop coping skills, recognize triggers, strengthen communication, practice relapse-prevention strategies, and prepare for life after treatment.
Is Welltana only a detox program?+
Welltana provides detox and residential treatment, allowing clients who are appropriate for continued care to receive additional support beyond the initial detoxification period.
What happens after detox?+
Detox is the beginning, not the entire recovery process. The appropriate next step depends on each person's needs and may include residential treatment or another level of ongoing substance use disorder care. Welltana helps clients prepare for that transition rather than leaving them to figure out what's next on their own.
Can I detox from alcohol at home?+
Alcohol withdrawal can sometimes become medically serious, and the level of risk varies from person to person. Anyone concerned about alcohol withdrawal should be medically evaluated rather than assuming that detoxing at home is safe.
Can I detox from fentanyl or opioids at home?+
Opioid withdrawal can be extremely uncomfortable, and individual medical circumstances vary. A professional assessment can determine what level of support is appropriate and whether supervised detox is recommended.
Is benzodiazepine detox dangerous?+
Withdrawal from benzodiazepines can cause serious complications in some circumstances, particularly after regular or prolonged use. Abruptly stopping them without appropriate medical guidance can be unsafe, so professional assessment is important.
What makes Welltana different from other detox centers?+
Welltana combines structured treatment with a warm, family-oriented environment. Along with individualized care, therapy, daily groups, and real-world experiences, our philosophy is that recovery isn't simply about getting sober — it's about preparing people to build a life they actually want to return to.
Are there activities and outings during treatment?+
Welltana incorporates appropriate real-world outings and shared experiences into its broader residential program. These experiences are intended to encourage connection, confidence, and the opportunity to practice recovery skills beyond traditional group settings.
How do I get admitted to Welltana?+
Start by calling Welltana's admissions team. We'll learn about your situation, answer your questions, review insurance, complete the necessary assessment, and help coordinate admission when Welltana is an appropriate fit.
I need help now. What should I do?+
You don't have to have everything figured out before calling. Contact Welltana's admissions team at 747.368.9396 and tell us what's going on. We'll listen, answer your questions, and help you understand what the next step could look like.
